This blog will primarily focus on local sports business news, but on occasion I’ll delve into adjacent areas or share things of personal interest. This falls into that latter category. Business Insider earlier this week put out a list of the 25 sports facilities that should be on a sports fan’s bucket list.

This market has some pretty nice venues – Target Field, Xcel Energy Center, TCF Bank Stadium, CHS Field. It also has a major one on the rebound in Target Center, which is undergoing a massive renovation – more on that in

the weeks to come.

U.S. Bank Stadium, the second-year home of the Vikings, was the one singled out for the Business Insider list.

Others of interest to fans in the Midwest include Chicago’s Wrigley Field; Green Bay’s Lambeau Field; Ohio Stadium, where the Buckeyes play football in Columbus; and Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.

Perhaps the “Granddaddy of them All” for the locals might be one of the furthest away: The Rose Bowl, in Pasadena, Calif., where Minnesota fans haven’t had reason to visit since early 1962. Maybe P.J. Fleck & Co. can give us a reason to fly out there sometime in the next few years.

Anyway, there was little point to this post – just an interesting and hugely subjective read. Enjoy.
