Western Collegiate Hockey Association men’s hockey fans will have access to every league game this year via WCHA.tv, the official online streaming platform of the conference.

WCHA.tv provides high-quality, high-definition broadcasts on multiple platforms, including television-connected devices via custom apps on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV.

Fans can customize a package for their medium of choice – computer, tablet, phone or over-the-top (OTT) application. Some multiple screen layout options for desktop users even allow for watching multiple games simultaneously.

“As the digital world continues to evolve, and with it our fans’ viewing preferences, we are pleased to enhance the WCHA.tv product in significant ways,” says Commissioner Bill Robertson. “The addition of OTT apps, along with continuing to provide flexible subscription offerings, allows our fans to engage with WCHA video content wherever they may be, and whenever and however they want.”

This is the fifth season of WCHA.tv, the third on the Stretch Internet platform. Unique viewership has grown 31.6 percent since the 2014-15 season, the last under a previous partner.

“We anticipate further growth in 2017-18 with the addition of OTT apps and other, behind-the-scenes product enhancements,” says conference spokesman Matt Hodson.

Women’s hockey games are not covered under the plan as some of the league’s teams are contractually obligated to stream via the Big Ten Network.

The WCHA season starts Oct. 1, with defending Broadmoor Trophy champion Michigan Tec visiting Wisconsin in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game. The first full weekend of the regular season is Oct. 6-7, with the league openers taking place the following week.
