Minnesota United will be more accessible to fans who want to watch the team on television in 2018.

The team and Fox Sports North last week announced a multi-year programming agreement that will bring Major League Soccer games more prominently to homes around the state and Upper Midwest. Fox Sports North becomes the exclusive local television home for the Loons.

“This deal is a major step for Minnesota United as a club,” says MNUFC CEO Chris Wright. “We want to be a club for everyone in the state and the region and this agreement will bring us into homes from Duluth to Bemidji to Rochester and beyond. We couldn’t be more excited to join the Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx and Wild on Fox Sports North.”

The regional sports network will air 17 home matches from TCF Bank Stadium and 15 road games. Thirteen games will be presented on Fox Sports North PLUS and its March 24 tilt with the New York Red Bulls on March 24 will appear exclusively on Fox Sports GO.

All of the Matches will be streamed live on Fox Sports GO and will include Loons Live, a 30-minute pre- and post-match show. Matches will be simulcast on Fox Sports Wisconsin.

Play-by-play announcer Callum Williams, color commentator and Stillwater native Kyndra de St. Aubin and sideline reporter Jamie Watson are slated to return for a second season.

“We are thrilled to add Minnesota soccer to our pro sports programming lineup and proud to partner with Minnesota United to deliver this exciting lineup of games to fans all across the Upper Midwest,” says Mike Dimond, Senior Vice President and General Manager of FOX Sports North.

MNUFC also will appear in a pair of nationally-televised matches on ESPN and FS1.
